DuraLam® Gold Tape (255 Series)

DuraStick® Gold Tape utilizes DuraLam® Gold Fabrics but have the added benefit of an adhesive on one side. These tapes are manufactured from PTFE coated woven fiberglass substrates, utilizing AFC’s proprietary coating formulations and have a silicone or acrylic adhesive system. Our DuraStick® Gold Tapes are specifically engineered to maximize application life, while minimizing down time in the most demanding environments. DuraStick® Gold Tapes are non-stick; offer excellent release and are resistant to oils, grease and chemicals. DuraStick® Gold Tapes are available in either an extremely smooth surface for maximum release or a texturized finish for a mechanical release. The texturized surface provides a mechanical bond or seal, which is desired in many heat-sealing applications. DuraStick® Gold Tapes are more abrasion resistant and maintain their low coefficient of friction even after prolonged service. DuraStick® Gold Tapes are excellent for use in the most challenging applications, such as PVC window welding, food processing, IV Bags sealing, Mylar Balloons sealing, rubber extruding, flexible packaging as well as many other applications. DuraStick® Gold Tapes have been designed to out perform and out last all competitive products.

DuraStick® Gold Tapes Characteristics

DuraStick® Gold Tapes are engineered to retain the distinctive properties of PTFE; however, by adding a glass fabric to the matrix, AFC is able to obtain the added benefits of dimensional stability, durability, excellent tensile strength, and extremely low elongation (<1%). The addition of an adhesive on one side eliminates the need for mechanical fastening. Tapes with silicone adhesive operate over a wide temperature range, -100°F to 500°F (-73°C to 260°C), while tapes with acrylic adhesive operate over a narrower range of temperatures, -40°F to 350°F (-40°C to 177°C).
